Week 4 Reflection

What: This week we did some handwriting on linking. We also did some I.T, getting links to our blogs. We made heaps of rules because people have not been finishing their work like you cannot have fun time or you cannot have morning tea and fruit. We did some shared reading and made our own booms-a-daisy song.

So What: I learnt how to say how are you feeling in a different way in Maori.

Now What: My goal is to be King of the Den. I would like to do a BP Technology test on make the best aeroplane

Week 3 Reflection

What: This week we did a BP Technology test and our team won it. I was so excited and happy. We got given an egg to look after for a week and my egg cracked. We are doing a project on our favourite book. We have to choose six things from our book. We started to go over lots of the graphs for maths. We are going over paragraphs and how to plan correctly together. For reading we are doing a newspaper story and activities.

So What: I learnt how to make heaps of graphs and things. I also learnt how to work as a team for the BP Tecnology test.

Now What: My goal is to send some more postcards to some countries. I want to make a bridge out of newspaper. My goal is to listen to instructions.

Week 2 Reflection

What: This week we did some blending for our art. We also did some drawings of some ukulele. We did some P.E in the mornings. We also did a BP Technology Challenge on making a castle. We also did a program called keeping ourselves safe.

So What: I learnt how to draw the shape of a ukulele. I also learnt what to do if you are home alone.

Now What: My goal is to strive for accuracy. I want to finish our work on time.

Week 11 Reflection

What: This week we have been on a website called jib jab. It is really funny because we have to choose a video and put your picture in the video. We have finished our continuouss line portraits. We also went to a show called Rayz Roadshow. He did some magic like making a card disappearr into an orange.

So What: I have learnt how to put a jib jab video on my blog. I have learnt how to make a book cover.

Now What: My goal is to be on the wall of fame and on strive for Accuracy.

Week 10 Reflection

What: This week we did two things on habits of mind. The first thing we did on habits of mind is write a poem about our five senses. Our second thing is a scribble art. We also had Kapa Haka. It was tricky because this time we had to learn our places to stand for our welcome haka. We have continued our continuous line drawing. After we coloured in our faces we coloured our background in a colour that we haven't used a lot.

So What: I have learnt how to put a blog counter on my blog.

Now What: My goal is to get my home work done.

Success-o-meter

1 week ago we started to do our Success-O-Meter. William came up with a name for our student of the week. It is now called The King of the Den. the King of the Den gets to sit on our couch. On Friday after we do our weekly Reflation we go and hang up our lion head.

Week 9 Reflection

WHAT: This week we went on a new program for I.T. We went on befunky so that we can play around with our photos so that we can put them on our blogs and make a display in class. We also had fun time. For fun time we played a catching game. Ms McAvoy had to hit a ball and we had to catch the ball and you get ten points. When you have 50 points you get to bat. We had Kapa Haka. At Kapa Haka we learnt a new Haka. It was a welcome Haka so that when a special person comes to our school we can do that Haka.

SO WHA: I learnt how to play around with our photo in befunky. I also learnt how to do a welcome Haka.

NOW WHAT: My goal is to yell when we do the Haka. My goal off the success o meter is to get  my work finished on time. What I want to do is to have a B.P technology challenge

Week 6 Reflection

What: This week we put our Avatar on our blog. We also had Kapahaka on Thursday. We didn't have a PB technology challenge because people didn't finish their work. But we did have fun time. For fun time we had an competition to see who can run the fastest across the soccer field and around the gaol post. I won so I got 100 house Points.

So What: I learnt how to put a gadget on our blogs. I also learnt how say new greetings in Maori and some ways of saying hello  to one or more people.

Now What:My goal is to get my work finished on time so that I can  do our PB technology challenge. Also to have fun time all of the time.

Christchurch

Last Tuesday Room 15 and Ms O'Conner went out of school to deliver some mail to the people that live around our school. The mail was to tell the people that we care about the Chrishchuch Earthquake and the people affected. The week after that it was Red and Black day. We had to come to school wearing red and black. We also had to come to school with some money to donate to the people in Crishchurch.

Week 5 Reflection

What: This week we did a BP Technology Challenge on Tuesday. Our challenge is to make a rooftop to protact us from the rain out of paper. Sometimes we had Ms O Conner. With Ms O Conner we played a memory game. We did lots on IT and Art. For art we did our hand monsters and for IT we created an avtar for our blogs. Some people were making blogs.

So What: I learnt how to put videos on my blog. I learnt how to use the pencil in different ways in art.

Now What: My goal is to get all my work finished on time. For our Success-o-meter is to strive for accuracy most of the time.

Week 3 Reflection

What: This week we went swimming but this time we had free time until we had to get out. We started doing our home work every night. We got to have P.E if we have finished our work. At the end of the day we can have fun time if we have enough time. We also had an assembly and we did another BP Technology Challenge.

So What: I learnt how to make a wordle. I also learnt new strategies to solve problems in maths.

Now What: My goal is to get my work finished on time to go up further on the success-o-meter. My goal is to get some ticks on our Teacher Aide Treaty.

Week 2 Reflection

What: This week we did some art work on our hands, while other people were making their blog. We also started swimming and did some tests on swimming. We have also been starting with our teacher aide ticks to be a teacher aide. We have started to do our rotation for Reading, Maths and Writing. We also started our handwriting.

So What: I have learnt how to do new art work and some new patterns.

Now What: My goal is to get my work finished on time most of the time.

Name Monsters

In Room 15 we have been we have done a piece of art on our names it is called name monster. The teacher linked our names with a pencil. We had to go over our names with black Jovi. We had to fold it in half and put it against the window to trace so you would have the same thing on the other side then it would kind of look like a monster. Then you get some Jovi's to colour it in and make it look like a monster. After all that you dye it.

Week 1 Reflection

What: This week we went over our positive choices. We got to know a lot more about each other, like what our favourite colours are and how old the other boys are. We had a snow ball fight (with paper). We started to do our me page. We took pictures of each other and put those pictures inside our lion heads. We had two lion heads to colour in.

So What: I learnt how to be a wet day moniter and do Year 6 jobs like mediation.

Now What: My goal is to follow the positive choices and listen carefully.

Week 8 Reflection

What: Today we had a spirit day, we had to  make costume out of crepe paper. We had a parade on the court with our costumes. We learnt more about air resistance and how to make our co2 cars go faster. We started to plan what we wanted our co2 cars to look like. We started to do class swimming with Room 6.

So What: I have learnt how co2 cars work.                                                 

Now what: My goal is to make my co2 car the fastest.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                       

Camp Reflection

What: At camp we first went to the Levin play ground to play and have morning tea. We left and went to the tramway to go to the beach, then went to the Police College. We also went around the Police Museum. We were going to go kayaking but it was a little bit windy so we went rock climbing. After that we went to the Zoo and had tea at the Zoo's playground. We had a tour around the zoo then went to bed. The next morning we went to Te Papa museum and had lunch. Then we went swimming. We stayed there for 2 hours. After that we went to Capital E. The next day we went on the cable car to town to go to the Parliament then we went to the Southward Car Museum. We then went back to Carlton School and went home.

So What: I learnt about animals like what thay eat and how they live and hunt. I found out about new animals like the African Wild Dog.

So What: My goal is to find out about some more animals.

 

Week 7 Reflection

What: This week I went to interschool at Cooks Gardens to do long jump, sprints, 300 metres and relay. I went to social dancing in the hall. It was fun. We started to do our new art, it is making a hot air balloon. We learnt about friction and today we are doing our assembly item.

So What: I have learnt how to say my lines with expression for our assembly item. I also learnt about the kinds of friction.

Now What: My goal is to say my lines right and do some actions while I am on the stage.

Week 5 Reflection

What This week I have been doing some calendar art.I have been doing a star test.  I have finished my weaving art and we started to do our assembly itam ,we also started to organise our camp things. We have had a race to see who is the fastest in our class .

So what We have learnt how to add some links to our blogs and do other things on our blogs.I have done my reading activity.

Now what ;my goal is to get on with my work and finish  it all.

School Spirt Day

On Friday we had a school spirt day. We had to dress up in rubbish bags. 

Sketchcast house

Today Mrs Larsen showed me a websitw called sketchcast. We drew a house so we can put it on my blog. She also showed us how to embed it into our blogs.

Week 4 Refection

What; This week I learnt about different types of Forces.I went to Badminton we had a challenge. I had Buddy art. We learnt how to draw a fish then showed our buddy. We created a silly dancing person.
So What; I learnt how gravity works. I learnt how to create a silly dancing person.
Now What ;My goal is to get all of my work done on time.

Week 3 Reflection

What: I have been learning about the different types of force. I have been doing buddy art. I have done high jump in athletics this week. I gets higher and higher. I have also been putting links onto my blogs.

So what: I learnt that everything can move with force. I have also learnt how to put links onto my blog.

Now what; I want to put links to my classmates blogs onto my blog.

Room 12 weaving

Me and my buddy have being lerning how to weavw. First we did straight weaving, then wavy weaving. Now my buddy is very good at weaving.

Walt use! ? and capital letters correctly Today I feel happy because I went to the park to play tackle it was fun I tackled my brother and he feel over then I ran away and he cheesed after me. Then I passed the ball to my sister.she got a try. My brother kick the ball and I cached I it. I had fun.

Free writing

This weekend I went to my aunt’s house and Josh came over. We played soccer and he kicked the ball at my head, we both laughed.  So I kicked the ball at him and he laughed.  I had fun.  Then Josh went home and I went inside and watched TV.

Week 2 Reflection

What: Room14 went to badminton, we also found out what Australians celebrate on October the 22. We went to our buddy class and did athletics with them.
So what: I learnt how to do high jump properly.
Now what: My goal is to run faster on high jump.

What: This week our art topic is castles so we have ben making a model of our castles out of polystyrene. We have been doing our recipes for writing.

Today Mrs Larsen taught us how to make a blog. It was hard and confusing. There wer weird things to do to make a blog like using the first letter of our first name and our full last name.
